Sveinn Kjarval (1919-1981)

The Paris chair, 1963-1965

 

The Paris chair by Sveinn Kjarval is festive. Made from teak with molded spindels in the back and coppercylinders at the bottom of the legs. Sveinn figured out the right angle for the spindels in the back of the chair so they support the back comfortably of the one sitting in the chair.

Because of that element of the chair it is ideal for the long lasting family gatherings around Christmas.
