Ingibjörg Styrgerður Haraldsdóttir cultivates her own flax and spins linen thread from the fibers for her artworks. Styrgerður is a pioneer in this field in Iceland.

In Skorradalur in the West of Iceland, Margrét Guðnadóttir has cultivated a willow forest that provides her with both inspiration and raw material. Margrét is one of few Icelanders who has specialized in basket weaving.

Kristveig Halldórsdóttir works with paper made from various plant fibers. The paper has its own nature and characteristics which lead the way in the process.

Bára Finnsdóttir works primarily with paper and textiles using various techniques and media. Here she layers together nature and the man-made environment.

The exhibition is a collaboration with the Textile Association which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2024.
