In recent years, sourdough baking has gained popularity. Although it may seem complicated at first, baking with sourdough is actually quite simple. In this workshop, Ragnheiður Maísól Sturludóttir will guide guests into the magical world of sourdough baking. The main aspects of baking will be covered, including how to care for and maintain a sourdough starter, as well as which tools and equipment are essential (and which are not). Guests will learn the basic techniques for baking simple and delicious sourdough bread at home, and various recipes and creative possibilities for sourdough will also be explored.
At the end of the workshop, anyone interested can take home a portion of sourdough starter along with recipes, enabling them to start baking their own sourdough bread.
Please note that the workshop starts at 1:00 pm and runs until 2:30 pm; guests must arrive by 1:00 pm to participate.
