The air is getting chilly but we can gracefully salute winter wearing our woolen crowns. This workshop is led by textile designer Judith Amalía, who also exhibits her own work at Pallurinn exhibition space on our ground floor.
Judith Amalía Jóhannsdóttir is a textile designer and textile teacher based in Reykjavík. She studied costume design at Brera Academy in Milan as well as textile design at Reykjavík School of Visual Arts. She’s taught textiles at Grandaskóli elementary school since 2022 as well as creating online video tutorials on crafting techniques. Judith Amalía specilaizes in spinning wool and weaving and continues to experiment with the possibilities of Icelandic wool.
This workshop is a part of our Family Program series, taking place on the first Sunday of each month. The events are based in our education space on the second floor of Museum of Design and Applied Arts.
